The Venue

Conference venue
The conference will be held at the Parkville campus of the University of Melbourne.  Registrations and the main conference venue are in the Copland Lecture Theatre (Parkville campus, building 148, grid reference G13).  Copland Theatre is in the Economics and Commerce building, next to the Baillieu Library.  Use gate 12 or 13 on Royal Parade, Parkville.

Dinner on Saturday night will be at the Queensberry Hotel, 593 Swanston St, Carlton (bookings essential).

Public Lecture venue
The Friday evening public lecture will be at The Spot, building 110 of the University of Melbourne; on the corner of Berkeley St and Pelham St.

How to get there
The University is easy to get to by public transport, walking or bike. The best Tram is the Number 19, East Coburg Tram. Catch it on Elizabeth Street in the city and get off on Royal Parade, stop number 11.

Bike and Walk – the venue is close to the city. It is an easy bike or walk from Lygon Street, Swanston Street, Bourke Street and others.

Car — there is no parking available on campus. Metered street parking is available on Royal Parade at a fee of $1.30 – $2.40 per hour with time limits ranging between 1hr-4hr. Secure parking is available close by at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (cnr Gratton and Royal Parade) for a fee of $11, unlimited time. A third option is the University of Melbourne Eastern Precinct carpark – entrance is on Cardigan St, between Faraday St and Elgin St (fee $5). You will then be required to walk across Swanston Street and through the campus (which can seem like a maze).
